Uh-Oh..."Non-Enlightened Woman" On Brink Of VP!

The National Organization of Women is a sham...just like the NAACP is as well. You see, these organizations don't really support women or African-Americans...they support liberals. They are organizations built by men-hating dykes and racist enablers. Neither group has their supposed constituency's best interests in mind.

If they did, Condi Rice would be hailed as a pioneer and hero and she isn't. That is an absolute embarassment to BOTH organizations.

And Sarah Palin absolutely frightens liberal women because for years liberal women have looked down their noses at "salt of the earth, conservative and independent stay at home moms", considering them ignorant and ultimately controlled by men. They looked to a day when a liberal woman would rise up, take center stage and lead women out of the "dark ages". They were going to usher women into the 21st century.

There's only one problem with that. They forgot that they needed the other 50% of women's support to do this. In true fashion, by discounting and ignoring conservative women's needs thay have become worse than the men. Now, a strong and gifted conservative woman has stepped forward. Will these women support her? Some will. Most are already using male derived stereotypes to decry her ability to lead. They cite that she won't be able to raise a family and be VP. They deride her experience even though she has more than either Obama or Hillary possess. They blame her for her daughter's early pregnancy. They call her a nasty, lying bitch (maybe not in so many words). They call her a pawn and joke put forth by the Republicans as a cheap ploy to get women's votes.

I find it truly disgusting and what they are really mad at is Obama's inability to patch things up with Hillary and put her on the ticket. Instead, he picked an intellectually tired good old boy for VP, who represents everything that is wrong with career politicians. The guy in 20 years has never been able to garner anything but minimal support in his own party as a presidential candidate. But Obama, in the end, couldn't swallow his pride and chose to cut Hillary loose. That, was Obama discounting liberal women due to an overblown image of himself. He erroneously thought he could carry their support by himself. That was a fatal mistake that WILL cost the Dems the election, mark my words...

If women want to do the right thing, they will support Governor Palin even if they don't vote for McCain for President. I find it extremely ugly and distasteful to see women tearing each other down and questioning each other's capacity to serve in government. That, is what always seems to set women back...their non-support of each other when it counts.

And maybe one day, liberal women will finally get it and stop discounting conservative women as inferior to men and themselves. I think Governor Palin is going to teach them a hard lesson on that front.

Now, women, go out and give Condi Rice the props that she deserves. I am ashamed at how she is ignored and goes unpraised even though she serves our proud nation as a truly capable Secretary of State. She's so good at it, I actually forget the fact that she is a woman. No woman has ever served in that capacity before, dealing with foreign dignitaries in some of the most challenging arenas (such as the Middle East where women are more discounted than anywhere in the world) and during some of the most tenuous times.

Condi...you rock!!! Sarah...you too!!!

Bluey,

You really take the cake. THe political aspects of your blog are almost becoming unreadable, but its almost like watching a car accident, I just can't turn away. What has Condi Rice accomplished in her turn as National Security Advisor or as Sec State? I mean, besides helping mislead our country into a devisive war that has cost the lives of countless brave American while the Bush Administration throws all the tennants of good republicanism (ie small government and responsible spending) out the window? And as for the goal of this war to erradcate terror? I guess that we learned by the events of today, Al Aueda is still unfortunately alive and well....The Bush Administration will go down in history as one of the worst in US history.

As for Palin, the book is still out on her. I can't judge her because I and most of the American people still know very little about her. I certainly don't know enough about her that I'd consider putting her in position to be president...and therein lies the problem. She will (and should be) placed under intense scrutiny over the next few months..I hope shes up to it, as its certainly possible she'll be our next VP. No matter who's in the white house come February, I'll just be glad it isn't Bush 43.

I absolutely disagree about Condi Rice. It's a shame you and many others discount her place in history in one of the toughest jobs in America, regardless of the president she works for.

In years, Bush will be praised much like Reagan is now, who was cursed at until 20 years passed and people had to be "told" how great he was. (Personally, I think he was a stuffed suit with smart people around him).

If you're measuring success of these wars by eradicating terror, you are being led astray by your "democrat talking points". There will always be terrorists. The goal is to keep their activities off our shores by taking the offensive to them where THEY live.

Is that really a difficult concept to comprehend?

Radical Islam wants us dead...

And, (as you know), I love George Bush and what he had the balls to do and what he continues to do. If Democrats today lived in a pre WWII world, we'd probably have diplomatic relations and peace accords signed with Hitler and would have informed Europe that we "don't want to be misled into a costly, devisive war. Sorry." And you know what? Japan probably would have concentrated their forces helping to attack Russia or China instead of us. We would have been safe for awhile but at what future cost?

Dems should stop looking at polls and figure out what the party stands for. They can't build consensus because they are too divided on "nonsense issues". That is why they can't seem to win the White House. Also, apologizing for being American doesn't help either. Regardless of your problems with the other party, badmouthing America is bad practice. Maybe Dems could move to germany, where they can obviously get Obama elected.

Don, I love ya like a brother but I think that you are seriously misguided. I don't think that your politics match with either the Democratic or republican ideals and that frustrates you. I can understand that because I feel the same way many times.

I like to think that I take a more common sense approach to politics and I call them as I see them. I'm not married to either party but I see eye to eye on much more with republicans (even though I was a registered democrat for 8 years).

I'm not a Republican now because i think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I HATE Right wing wackos! It's just that the Democratic party has leaned so far to the left that it is bordering on Socialism. The party has lost any identity or principles upon which it was founded and caters so much to its' extreme left wing that it scares me to be brutally honest with you.

I'm sure you feel the same way about republicans but if that is so, why do we have McCain as a presidential choice? It's so obvious that staunch conservatives can't stand him.

He is a moderate to independent candidate. He'll work across the aisle to consensus build between the parties like he HAS ALWAYS DONE!

Obama paints him as 4 more years of Bush. That is laughable. He's afraid of McCain because Dems deep down know that McCain is the right choice, but when it comes down to it, robots do what they are programmed to do.

Just pull the dem lever and feel good about telling people you voted for Obama. Nobody is going to win any points by voting for McCain. Like his mother said, "just hold your nose and pull the republican lever" if you want to vote for McCain. Sure, he's going to piss alot of people off because he does what he feels is right but he'll never make decisions based on his desire to become elected.

Okay, sorry for the rant. It wasn't all directed at you, Don.

Me love you....

Bluey,

First off, you should know me well enough by now that when we go back and forth on politics I'm not going to be offended by that fact that you are kind of a wing nut (grins). Its all in fun and I know you feel the same, although sometimes I fear for your soul.

To your points-
Condi: You still never managed to tell me what Condi managed to accomplish in her roles as NSA and SoS. There plenty not to like, such as trying to duck from congress re testifying about her role in 9/11, and not managing to off the current Georgia-Russia crisis despite her expertise in Russian affairs. Maybe it was that expertise that helped out when GW looked into the eyes of former KGB head Putin and decided he's an OK guy. The truth is although I'm certain she's a very smart person, her service will be inexorably connected to GW's presidency...you are often only as good as your boss and he just ain't very good.

Radical Islam: They want us dead? Really? I guess I missed that. Maybe that memo should have been sent to GW, considering Iraq BEFORE the war wasn't run by radical Islamists, did not possess WMD's, and yet we invaded them anyway. Don't get me wrong, Saddam was an evil evil guy, and I'm not sorry he's no longer drawing a breath, but Iraq has been a huge drain on resources that would have enabled us to fight the REAL threats in other theaters, particularly Afghanistan. That was and is still a campaign that should be fought and won. Yes, I know they want us dead and belive me the feeling is mutual. I'm all for fighting as long as we are fighting the right battles. All those troops in Iraq would have come in real handy securing the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where Osama sits and continues to mock us. The money we've spent in Iraq could also have better been used to support policies to help persuade the "friendly" Saudi and Pakistani governments fight to more effectively the roots of the radical movement: the Muslin Clerics that run roughshod over their people and schools that breed these buggers...Bush never wanted to confront that hard facts that our so called allies (Saudi and Pakistan) implicitly allow these terrorist groups to exist within their borders...unless these governments take real control of their countries and educational systems, no military action we fight (short of nuking the whole middle east back to the paleosic era) is ever really going to be successful.

You are right in the sense that I do feel rather disenfranchised from both parties. I have not seen very much of substance from either in this election. I do like McCain, and probably would have voted for him in 2000 in the conservatives hadn't hijacked the republican party and nominated GW instead. I'm not at all comfortable with voting for him now though, due to the very real chance he won't finish his term due to his age. Do you really want an 80 (in his second term) year old guy running the country? Hopefully he can do better than Jo-Pa and at least keep control of his bowels while in office.

I certainly don't know enough about Palin that I'd be comfortable with her as president. As my lovely wife said the other day, saying "on a clear day you can see Russia from Alaska does not a foreign policy make". I'm really concerned that she'll just be a mouthpiece for all the right wing loonies if McCain bites the big one and she is in charge...and yes, I'm afraid that Obama, who I will almost certainly vote for now, will bow to the loonies on the far left of the party.

Oh, well, one way or another all this will come to a blessed end in a month and a half.

There is, however, one solution to this that occurs to me Bluey:

The all paesan ticket: Bluey & the Don for president in 2012~!!!
